Certified products are cybersafe products!   The revised Cybersecurity Act introduces an updated certification framework for ICT products and services that will bring more clarity and efficiency for European companies.   The renewed European Cybersecurity Certification Framework aims for:   ✅ Faster certification schemes, with clear timelines and development in the first 12 months to reduce existing delays ✅ Simpler and clearer procedures for companies, reducing burdens and costs ✅ More compliance with EU regulation, more agile and transparent governance ✅ Stronger role for ENISA, that will be responsible for managing the certification schemes   This practical, voluntary tool for businesses will make them more competitive. Chips are the building block of all electronic products.   Smartphones, laptops, routers, smart house systems, driving assistants... these tiny pieces of technology are everywhere.   The European Chips Act is: 🔹 reinforcing the semiconductor ecosystem in the EU 🔹 ensuring the resilience of supply chains 🔹 reducing external dependencies   Five semiconductor projects have been awarded the status of innovative manufacturing facilities:   🇮🇹 Silicon Box 🇩🇪 ESMC 🇦🇹 Ams-OSRAM 🇩🇪 Infineon Technologies Dresden 🇮🇹 STMicroelectronics   These facilities designated as Open EU Foundries and Integrated Production Facilities, will be granted priority administrative support, faster permit processes and advanced access to pilot lines under the Chips for Europe Initiative.   Discover the projects and how they are helping to shape the EU's tech landscape: https://lnkd.in/ena8RGdw

In the EU, women represent: ♀️ 1 in 3 STEM graduates ♀️ 1 in 5 ICT graduates ♀️ 1 in 5 ICT specialists ♀️ 1 in 4 leaders in tech companies Women make up 51% of EU's population, however they are still very underrepresented in the tech sector.   The challenges and barriers start at an early age at school and go all the way up to executive roles. Gender stereotypes and societal norms, experiences of gender bias and discrimination, and work-life balance are some of the most common.   Closing the gender gap could add up to €16 billion to EU GDP each year and contribute to reach the Digital Decade's goal of 20 million ICT specialist by 2030. According to an EU survey, 1 in 4 European children and teenagers have experienced cyberbullying firsthand. Stalking, offensive messages, harassing, trolling... Hostile messages are everywhere, but together educators, governmental institutions and platforms we can tackle them.   We are upping our game with more prevention and easier reporting to combat cyberbullying:   ✅ Resources to promote good digital habits and strengthen digital literacy ✅ Child-friendly reporting tools to make the process easier and faster ✅ Guidelines for platforms to ensure accountability and reduce exposure to harmful and illegal content, under the DSA ✅ Limits on AI uses, including deepfakes, to prevent deception and misuse of images with the AI Act & more!   In the EU, we are creating a safer online space for children and teenagers!   Discover how: https://lnkd.in/eHuUGFKz
