Getting Started
Yes. Click "Try Live Demo" to launch a full demo in your browser - no account needed. You can explore all non-AI widgets, customize your layout, and see if it fits your workflow.
Extensions are available for desktop Chrome (and Chromium browsers like Edge, Brave, Arc), Firefox, and Safari. On any other browser, you can use the web app directly or set it as your start page URL in browser settings.
Sign in on any browser and your pages, widgets, settings, and data sync automatically. Add a link on your laptop, it appears on your phone. Rearrange widgets on your tablet, the change is there on your desktop.
The browser extension is the primary way to use Start Page HQ - it replaces your new tab page so your workspace is there every time you open a tab. But it also works as a regular web app if you prefer not to install anything.

Add links manually or organize them into groups with custom icons and layouts using the Links widget. Browser bookmark import is not currently supported.
Pages let you organize widgets into separate contexts - like Work, News, Tools, or Projects. Switch between them with a single click. Each page has its own set of widgets and layout.
A Container holds two widgets side by side in a two-column layout. This lets you mix full-width and split-width widgets on the same page for flexible, dense dashboard layouts.
Pricing & AI Credits
AI credits power features like image generation (from 10 credits), translation (1 credit), and background removal (2 credits). The Annual plan includes 5,000 credits per year, Lifetime includes 10,000. You can buy additional credit packs anytime.
Annual is $25/year with 5,000 AI credits that renew each year. Lifetime is a one-time $49 payment with 10,000 AI credits. Both give full access to every feature. The Lifetime deal is a limited launch offer.
All non-AI widgets continue to work. You can purchase additional credit packs at any time. There is no interruption to your workspace.
You keep access until the end of your billing period. After that, your data remains safe - you can resubscribe anytime to pick up where you left off.
Customization & Data
Dark and light themes, 8 accent colors, per-widget styling (solid, clear, or outline), individual widget colors, grid or list views, and widget-specific layout options. You can also enable a two-column page layout for denser dashboards.
Yes. On iOS, a companion app is required to install the Safari extension. On any other mobile browser, you can use Start Page HQ as a web app or set it as your start page URL in browser settings.
Your data is stored securely on our servers and synced across your devices via encrypted connections.
Yes. If you're not happy, request a refund within 14 days of purchase. Email hello@startpagehq.com with your account email and purchase date, and we'll process it within 3-10 business days.
