I am a Bayesian statistician and a machine learning researcher, interested in building models of complex data.
I particularly enjoy working on:
- all aspects of Bayesian statistics: from principled workflows and model validation to scalable inference,
- probabilistic machine learning, especially deep generative models and representation learning,
- applications in biostatistics and computational biology, including mixed models, survival analysis, and cancer genomics.
Beyond my research, I am interested in the intersection of category theory, algebraic topology, and differential geometry with mathematical physics.
