Omgggggg I've been trying to find the ultimate, best, and affordable sketchbook on the market and I have finally found it. For moleskin, it ain't that expensive. You get what you pay for which is quality. There are so many pages plus a bookmark string so you can go back and continue where you left off. The pages smell good too, it's like if they sprayed some kind of oil onto them. I love it. There's a pocket on the back too. I usually store extra printer paper or a piece of cardboard so when I'm working with markers, the ink won't bleed through to the other page. I would definitely buy this item again. I have the line journal as well, both are amazing and have lots of space to write/ draw. Wow... just amazing. It came in good packaging as well and wrapped up in plastic. What I liked most about it was the recycable circle compass that is located behind the thick paper that wraps around the notebook. It has instructions on how you can transform it into one. I didn't have one, but now I do hahaha thanks Moleskin. Sooo don't think twice about purchasing this item or not, DO IT!!!!!!

I've mainly used this sketchbook for actually sketching, so I can't advise how well this one will do with paints. But it is so smooth when using pencils, it feels amazing. The pages are decently durable, but when I used some pens/markers it does bleed a bit through the page.

I love the size of the sketchbook. It is quite large so you can create a lot on one page. Lots of pages as well so it will last you a long time. Will definitely buy another one when I'm done with my first!

I was skeptical of buying this more expensive sketchbook at first because personally I'm a # of pages > quality kind of person. That is until I bought this sketchbook. This has allowed me to test watercolor, inks, and acrylics in it. Although ink is the one that it holds up the best within it. I'm in love with the paper's hot press texture and I eventually got over the cream color of the pages. The price still bothers me with how few pages you get but I'm very much willing to pay more for this sketchbook! In fact I've already finished my current and I've just bought another!

I recommend this to anyone who's been drawing for awhile and wants to start working more professionally. It'll hold up against pen and ink, graphite, and some water coloring. Personally I like doing watercolor studies on separate paper and taping them into the book so I don't wrinkle the pages.

Ich zeichne seit vielen Jahren jeden Monat ein Skizzenbuch voll, somit habe ich schon fast alle Skizzenbücher auf dem Markt ausprobiert und ich kann wirklich mit absoluter Sicherheit sagen, dass dieses Skizzenbuch eines der besten ist die ich je hatte. Die Cover Seiten sind stabil, fühlen sich gut an und lassen sich nicht biegen. Das Buch lässt sich ganz flach öffnen was für mich absolut essentiell für den Zeichenkomfort und für die Zeicheneffizienz ist. Das Papier ist nicht gebleicht hat somit einen leichten gelbstich, was ich persönlich viel angenehmer für die Augen finde. Des Weiteren ist das Papier von sehr hoher Qualität und Marker wie Copic oder Prismacolor sind die einzigen Stofte die auf der anderen Seite durchscheinen. Selbst eine dicke Lage Tinte aus einem Brushpen sieht man auf der Rückseite nicht also absolut fantastisch! Das Papier ist schön glatt mit einer ganz feinen Textur, so dass es sich mit allen Medien gut darauf zeichnen lässt. Bleistift und Tinte verschmieren nicht und Farbe blutet nicht. Außerdem hat es noch eine Tasche hinten in der man lose Zeichnungen oder Notizen verstauen kann. Zusammengehalten wird alles von einem praktischen Gummiband, also braucht man sich keine sorge um verknickte Seiten machen. Bei auftragen von Wasser wellt sich das Papier leicht aber nicht allzu dramatisch so dass man ohne Probleme immer mal wieder mit Aquarell drin malen kann. Für Arbeiten mit viel Wasser würde ich jedoch ein Skizzenbuch mit dickerem Papier empfehlen (ab 190g/m^2)

Für diesen Preis ist es ein absolutes must have für jeden Künstler.
