Tmux, being true to its name, is a terminal multiplexer. This means that it lets the user operate multiple terminals as long-running servers (i.e. closing the terminal emulator will not shut down the terminal – it stays right where it was across app restarts). When I first picked it up, tmux was almost too good to be true. Just a week ago, I decided to quit.
I participated in the annual Messier marathon event, from March 21st to March 22nd. The Messier marathon is a stargazing challenge to hunt down all 110 celestial objects in the Messier catalogue in a night.
