The Node.js Release Schedule is Evolving 🚀 We're streamlining how Node.js is built and maintained. Starting in 2027 (Node 27), we are moving from two major releases per year to one. What’s changing? - Every release becomes LTS: No more odd/even confusion. - Alpha Channel: 6 months of early testing for library authors. - Sustainability: Reducing the burden on our volunteer maintainers. - Node 26 (April 2026) will be the final release under the old model. Check out the new roadmap on our blog: 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gAREE-H4

We are excited to announce the launch of the Node.js LTS Upgrade and Modernization Program 🚀 😎 Data shows that roughly two-thirds of Node.js users are currently running outdated or unsupported versions, creating significant security and operational risks. To solve this, we're creating a trusted path for enterprises to move safely off legacy versions while staying aligned with the upstream project. We are also thrilled to welcome NodeSource as our inaugural program partner! Together, we’re helping organizations assess risks, manage phased upgrades, and ensure production stability.
