Weeknotes 2025W24
This week, I wrote a project report and what I learned building a Phoenix web app that tracks the Oregon legislature. It tracks actions (measure history actions, committee agenda items, and floor agenda items) as they happen and presents them in a nice timeline. I learned a lot and have so much fun building it.
One of my best friends is almost done with his current engagement and is back in town for the summer. We haven’t seen each other in years so we had a barbecue and hung out for the night. We threw around a lacrosse ball and I forgot how hard that is.
AM had some family come visit and we had fun. The farm got new goats which are adorable. We also tried out a new-to-me game called Pit that was way more fun than expected.
Lastly, I’ve been rebuilding my website again. I’ve been having some yarn dependency issues and I’m over it. I use Astro for client websites and to have them all standardized to the same tool is appealing to me. I wrote a new Elixir script to sync my Obsidian vault with my website content and have been slowly re-implementing everything so it looks the same as it did.
